Sanitation & Recycling

The Village of Carlock contracts with an outside waste management company for solid waste collection and recycling. Everyone within the community is required to have garbage collection and all residential customers are required to have recycling collection.

Most trash and debris, when properly bundled and/or contained properly, can be disposed of at curbside with your regular garbage service days. If assistance is needed or you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Large items or over 2 trash cans we recommend reaching out directly to the waste management company

Garbage pick-up = $14/month. It is picked up on Thursday mornings.  We don't have any requirement on the type of trash container to be used.  We recommend something with a lid. If there is a major holiday on a Mon, Tues, Wed, or Thurs then the trash is picked up on a Friday.  Major Holidays impacting garbage pick-up are:  New year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day

Recycling = $2/month.  It is picked up on the 1st Friday of each month.  There is no requirement for the type of container to be used.  All items may be mixed together.
